We spent Christmas at this condo in Breckenridge. The photos in this post are from because we were traveling with our toddler and ski’s, among other luggage, and just didn’t have time to capture the tidiness before filling the place up with our stuff. We really enjoyed our stay here! Scroll to the bottom for details of our trip.

Breckenridge Ski Resort was the closest to our condo. My husband took the Breck Free Ride Bus into town because the bus stop was right around the corner. He spent 2 days on these mountains and was icing his knee after day 2.

Keystone Resort was a 20 minute drive from the condo in Breckenridge. This resort was very family friendly and had so much more than skiing. They have hotels, shopping, eateries, Kidtopia, sleigh rides, ice skating, snow tubing, snow cat rides, a snow fort, and snow biking. My son and I spent a few hours playing at the Kidtopia headquarters while my husband skied. Later in the day we took the Gondola ride to the top of Dercum Mountain and met my husband at the snow fort.

Arapahoe Basin was my husbands final ski destination. This place is a 15 minute drive up the mountains past Keystone. Arapahoe Basin was the most challenging of the 3 mountains and my husbands favorite. This place is all about the skiing. It has a store, a restaurant/bar, and no cell service. The road maintenance is worth mentioning. The roads here are cleaner after 6 hours of snow than they ever would have been in Ohio.

Family Friendly

I took my toddler to the Mountain Top Museum one morning. He loved it! It’s $5 per person (even the supervising parent is charged) but they offer a variety of play stations.

We never made it to the Breckenridge Recreation Center because my son slept through the open gym, but it seems like there’s a lot to do there.

Good Time Adventures Dog Sledding was a suggestion by the condo owners. Children under the age of 4 are not permitted on the sled rides, and the holidays are to busy for them to offer kennel tours so we skipped this place.

I drove past Adventure Park several times. The Tumble Bubbles looked really fun!

Eating and Shopping

Shopping is everywhere! Not so much at Arapahoe Basin, but Keystone, Breckenridge, and Frisco all had amazing stores.

We took the Breck Free Ride Bus into Breckenridge twice. We ate at Giampietro Pizzeria and Motherloaded Tavern. Both were amazing! I strongly suggest getting to town early and putting your name in for a table before shopping.

Getting a grocery list together and making the 20 minute drive to the Frisco Walmart is so worth it. I sent my husband to the Local Market and it was crazy expensive. They were also out of diapers.

We rented a car through Turo for the first time on this trip. We were really happy with the car and our service. It’s definitely worth checking out.

Here are a few photos of our trip.

One of the reasons I fell in love with my husband was his passion for traveling. As a stay at home mother and stepmother, I look forward to vacations just as much as the working man. Traveling can be exhausting so I've dedicated this blog to share my own experiences and make your next trip as relaxing as possible.
